About Us
Before jumping into the world of entrepreneurship, Ashley worked in Higher Education administration for 8 years at several different institutions. Working in college admissions is a very rewarding career, especially with first generation college bound students in West Virginia. After experiencing a toxic work environment, she started creating candles in my kitchen to help me recover and figure out my next chapter.

I made that vision reality on November 24, 2018 and started on this amazing journey. It's been incredible, even throughout these challenging times."

The Haute Wick Social is more than a candle shop, it's a community. I'm proud of the partnerships I've developed with our wonderful non-profits in our region. We are members of the Doggy Day Out program at Little Victories Animal Rescue, hosting adoptable dogs at the shop for a day of fun away from the shelter. I've also had the privilege of hosting fundraisers and/or creating candles to benefit: Dress for Success River Cities, Little Victories Animal Rescue, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Huntington, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Tri-State, Recovery Point West Virginia, Huntington Pride and Lily's Place.
Sydney is currently a junior in high school and spends her free time doing local theatre and other arts related activities. She also likes listening to music with her cats. She loves how hands on and creative The Haute Wick Social is and has enjoyed seeing the company grow over the years. Working at THWS is a unique and lively experience, Sydney is enthusiastic about the future of the company.
Ralph is a graduate Marshall University with a B.A in Visual Art and Design. In his free time he likes to stay involved in the community through volunteer work. You'll often him listening to podcasts in a local coffee shop working on design.
He enjoys designing and ideating new collections for The Haute Wicks Social to keep the vibe fresh. He is constantly finding new inspiration from the scents.
